This trail falls into the “difficult” category due to its steep ascent from the base. The journey to the summit is nothing short of breathtaking, featuring stunning vistas that demand both mental and physical preparedness. This trail is decidedly challenging, making it unsuitable for beginners. Proper hiking shoes are essential to navigate the substantial rocky sandstones terrain.
It’s imperative to carry an ample supply of water, given the arduous nature of the hike. The reward for your efforts is a panoramic view that encompasses The Datai, the vast Andaman Sea, the picturesque Tarutao Island, and the scenic Tanjung Rhu. These breathtaking vistas await those who dare to conquer this demanding trail, making it a memorable adventure for experienced hikers seeking a thrilling challenge amidst nature’s grandeur.
For your safety and comfort, we highly recommend wearing appropriate hiking attire. Lightweight, moisture-wicking clothes are best to keep you cool and dry during the climb. Most importantly, please wear proper footwear—hiking shoes, trail shoes, or sports shoes with good grip are essential for navigating the steep and rocky sections of the trail.
For your safety, flip-flops, sandals, and regular running shoes are strictly not allowed on this trail. The terrain is steep, rocky, and may involve climbing.
We also highly recommend bringing a backpack instead of a sling bag. Sling bags can throw off your balance and make the hike uncomfortable, especially during climbing sections. A backpack keeps your hands free and helps distribute weight evenly, making the trek safer and more manageable.
